Centrepoint x CloudStratex

27th August 2020 marked the official start of CloudStratex’s first charity partnership with Centrepoint. We are extremely excited to build this relationship and are looking forward for the year to come. Centrepoint has been supporting young people experiencing homelessness for over 50 years, through providing housing, physical and mental health support, and education. This remarkable organisation has helped thousands of young people get their lives back on track, ensuring their encounter with homelessness does not dictate the rest of their lives.

We think this partnership is even more significant given the current pandemic. Centrepoint has lost many funding and volunteering sources as a direct result of COVID 19 while also experiencing a huge increase for demand in their services. We have set a £10K target to reach over the next 12 months, as a means to support and thank the incredible team at Centrepoint.

Many of those helped by Centrepoint are the same age as our very own Talent Academy members. This hit home with us and is one of the reasons behind choosing Centrepoint as our partner. We also think that this puts us in a unique position to support young people from Centrepoint, as CloudStratex has experience of providing the tools to young people to allow them to reach their full potential. We are aiming to provide more than just financial support to Centrepoint, and have plans to contribute to volunteering opportunities such as mentoring and getting involved with Centrepoint Works.

We want to encourage you to get involved with our fundraising by attending an event and contributing donations. Our next event is the October Centrepoint Pub Quiz (date TBC) a monthly event with a celebrity host that costs just £10 per team to enter. We are also planning our own virtual events and activities, in order to continue fundraising while in person events aren’t possible. We have lots of exciting things planned so watch out for our next update!
