Charity End of Year Update
In August we set ourselves the target to raise £10,000 for Centrepoint within the first year of our partnership – we have almost achieved this in 4 months! With our virtual cycle event, the raffle, Centrepoint quiz and our fantasy football league, we have been able to reach our target early! We were also in JustGiving’s Top 1% for November due to the amount of money we raised.
Highlights:
Challenger Event
Over 20 of the CloudStratex team took part in our Virtual Challenger Event where we aimed to cycle, run, walk and row the distance from our office in London to Athens (2400km) over 7 days. We not only smashed our distance target, making It to Turkey, we also surpassed our £2500 target, raising an incredible £4030. CloudStratex kindly matched the money we raised, bringing our total to £8060! A big thank you to everyone who supported team CloudStratex!
Christmas Raffle
While we are unable to get together this year to celebrate the end of 2020, the CloudStratex team will have a virtual Christmas event to get into the festivities. As part of this, we are holding a raffle to raise money for Centrepoint. We have raised over £1000 so far selling tickets to give people the chance to win a variety of prizes from vouchers, meals out and skincare sets.
Thanks to the members of the leadership team who have donated prizes as well as companies like L’Oreal, The Wine List and Pact Coffee. Experience Days also donated a £50 voucher as part of their charity scheme. You can read more about that here. You can read more about that here.
Plans for Next Year
As Centrepoint approaches the most challenging Christmas in its 50-year history, 23,000 young people are going to be homeless or at risk of homelessness. We will continue to get involved with running events to fundraise for Centrepoint. We will also start to get involved in volunteering opportunities in 2021 and are looking forward to seeing what we can do to help young people.
