Move in March

When we started our partnership with Centrepoint in August 2020, we set out objectives on what we wanted to achieve in the first year. Two of those were to fundraise for the charity and reach our £10,000 target and also to engage the team and get them feeling better about working for a company that is trying to do good by others. We were able to reach our initial target in December. We have now upped our target to £20,000 and are looking for new ways to raise money to support Centrepoint. Also, as lockdown continues, we want to continue to keep the team engaged and also improve their wellbeing. To do this, we are planning some of our own events as well as getting involved in Centrepoint’s Move in March.

Centrepoint estimates that 121,000 young people aged 16-25 in the UK are facing homelessness this year. This is a shocking statistic and is only likely to increase considering the circumstances. Therefore, to raise money to support young people, Centrepoint is challenging people to complete 121,000 steps in March. We will be challenging all of the team to complete 121,000 steps anyway they wish over 15 days or a month – depending on the challenge they want to give themselves! Whether you do a step challenge in your home, go for a quick walk each day or long ones at the weekend, the main goal is to keep yourself moving and also raise money to help young people take their first steps out of homelessness.

We will start on 1st March and track how many steps we all take to see the total CloudStratex can achieve. We will also have a Move in March JustGiving page which individuals can join where they can set up a page to raise money. Keep an eye out for our regular updates on progress. It is great to get involved in a Centrepoint event and help to support them. We are ready to take on the challenge – let’s see what CloudStratex can do!
